646f9e108c Alien robots come to Earth and assert their control over humanity. They claim that they only want to observe humanity. They enforce a strict no one allowed outside rule. They implant humans with a device that alerts sentries to anyone who goes outside and if they refuse to comply they are destroyed. They also employ humans to be their proctors. One of these men is Robin Smythe. He tries to get Kate Flynn to be his wife but she still mourns her husband whom Smythe says died. But her son Sean, doesn&#39;t believe it. He sends messages out asking anyone who knows anything about his father to tell him. One day he and three young people are fooling around when they discover that they turned off their implant. That&#39;s when they go outside and someone answers Sean&#39;s message and tells him where his father is. So he goes out to find him But Smythe pursues him and brings his motherleverage. And when the robots corner Sean he somehow manages to control them. So the Robots are curious why he can do that. So they tell Smythe to capture him. After eleven days of war, robots from outer space domain the earthlings. People receive implants and are confined inside their houses while collaborators distribute supplies for the families. The teenager Sean Flynn misses his father Danny, who is a pilot, and his mother Kate is constantly harassed by the collaborator Robin Smythe. One day, Sean, his teenage friends Nathan and his sister Alexandra and the orphan boy Connor accidentally discover how to turn off the implants for thirteen hours, using a battery with damaged contacts. The leave their house during the curfew to seek out Danny and soon Sean discovers that he has the ability of controlling the robots. Meanwhile Smythe is hunting them down. Will the youngsters succeed in their intent? Basic and by the numbers. I had extremely low expectations because It looked like a kids movie. Don&#39;t get me wrong, I&#39;m well aware not everything made is going to be something I will enjoy but this kind of watered down rubbish is completely devoid of any value on any level what&#39;s so ever. <br/><br/>It&#39;s a tired old plot, recycled and rehashed. Mailed in performances by the only two cast members with actual career (Kingley has been on a down slide since Iron Man 3, which I though he couldn&#39;t sink any lower) to the sci-fi channel level of CG, this film is a tragedy on so many levels and definitely not worth the time… clearly the people who made this didn&#39;t put any real thought or creativity into it. Robot designs were cheap, like Asylum Sharknado cheap, basically cubes, because cubes are easy to make in CG rather than designing complex, engaging robots that are visually interesting and worth showing off Instead we get cubes that are basically on screen very sparingly, either do to cost or embarrassment.<br/><br/>All the positive reviews posted are clearly by people who either A.) have some connection to the cast crew or producers, or B) are just idiots, which is why garbage like this continues to get made. What a waste… too bad all the time effort and money was spent on this wasn&#39;t put towards something people would actually enjoy, rather than cranking out this. Completely unnecessary, nothing we haven&#39;t seen elsewhere with better craftsmanship and purpose. <br/><br/>What a waste of a cool name and 90 minutes of my life, 90 minutes I will never get back…. do yourselves a favor, watch Red Dawn or any number of better films with the same plot, you know, the old &quot;kids vs oppressors&quot; troupe. I don&#39;t get why people are trashin&#39; this flick??! I mean yeah they are suppose to be British but so what lol jkin but honestly its a good movie for kids and teens. I never waste time writing reviews! And I&#39;m very picky about movies. This one was pretty cool. What kid isn&#39;t guna enjoy robots and the cool thing they find out one of the characters can do and cheering on the characters to win. I dug it. The ending was pretty decent too. Why are people hating on this movie? If anyone actually reads this review before watching, I&#39;m telling you I had more fun watching this with kids then frozen or whatever. So give it a chance. Sci Fi is fun for imagination, just don&#39;t let your kids play with car batteries!! ;) The blend of influences does feel hackneyed, at certain junctures.
